How to make profitable intraday trade in MCX Zinc?

Is zinc suitable for intraday and very short term trade?

In the base metals pack, zinc is a highly volatile commodity and most favorable of base metals traders. I too, mostly trade in zinc intraday or with a weekly perspective. Zinc is a very good commodity to make a profit in intraday as well as on a weekly basis. Any commodity which is traded with good volume and volatility provides the liquidity to enter and exit the trade very comfortably. So zinc is suitable for intraday and very short term trade. Although under base metals mostly all commodities are traded with good volume and liquidity except aluminium. Since this article is more focused on zinc, so I have discussed mostly zinc.

As I have observed many times, if you're an active trader of zinc you may have also observed, zinc mostly trades in the range of 4 Rs. Few trading days it may also trade in a narrow range of 2 or 3 rupees and on extreme volatile and panic mode it may trade in 6, 8, or 10 rupees range. But most of the days it trades in the range of 4 rupees. 

So if you trade with one Mini-Lot of Zinc you can make up to 4,000/- on a single day with 15-16 thousand of capital in your trading account, according to the current market price of near 200. I am not talking about broker extra exposure or leverage money because I don't suggest to trade on leverage money still in intraday trade. Now if you earn 4000 on your capital of 16000 this is a 25% return in a day on your invested/traded capital that is a very good return. But I know all trading day it is not possible to make a 25% return. Yes, 2-3 days in a week is mostly possible to make that returns.

I would also like to say that don't compel yourself to trade every day in the market, trade only when you feel an opportunity and you are confident in yourself with almost 90 to 99%. If you practice this in your daily trade, you will feel the change. 

This is a known fact that nobody is so smart and genius that he could make every day profit by trading intraday. As we all know that intraday trading is highly risky and the chances of making a profit each day are very less. But my point is if your risk-reward ratio is very good and you make 7-8 profitable trades out of 10 trades then you are doing very well.

But remember one thing, never practice to lose big and gain less, i.e. always trade by calculating your risk-reward. If your trade goes wrong, don't wait or hesitate to cut your position in the loss. Gain and loss are part of every trade; either you are going to gain or lose. But if you make a loss, it should be small and if you make a profit it should be healthy.
